How to Become a Member

How Do I Become a Member?

As a member of Our Shepherd you will be part of a caring congregation which holds to the truths of our Biblical foundation and looks for innovative ways of sharing Jesus' love with others in our community. We also encourage all members to take advantage of the many opportunities for spiritual growth which Our Shepherd offers.

The process begins with the completion of the Membership Application Form.

Those who are not transferring from another LCMS congregation, are also required to take the “Lutheranism 101” seminar in addition to our Discovery class. This seminar focuses on the teaching of Jesus Christ and what it means to follow Him. This seminar is held on seven consecutive Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

The next Lutheranism 101 Seminar will begin on Tuesday, February 7 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church library and continue for a total of 7 weeks.

Childcare is offered for both "Discovery" and "Lutheranism 101" classes.

WHAT HAPPENS THE DAY YOU JOIN?
