Senior's Bible Study
Senior citizens and their friends are invited to join us for Bible Study each Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Church Library. There are refreshments and fellowship among the 10 to 20 seniors attending. The group is led by the church staff. For the month of April, Pastor Steve Woodfin will be the featured presenter!
Older Wiser LutheranS (OWLS)
The Our Shepherd Lutheran Older Wiser LutheranS (OWLS) enjoy monthly outings and field trips to exciting Detroit and area destinations such as Pewabic Pottery, Ford Field, Motown Records, DIA, Clinton River Cruises, and other great places as they share Christian fellowship with one another. Senior Luncheons are held the last Tuesday of January, March, April, May, September, October, and November in the Our Shepherd Lower Level. The October luncheon features a "burnt offering" BBQ by our very own Dr. Mark Nimtz and his illustrious sidekick Mr. David C. F. W. Priskorn, and a Bluegrass concert by The Lonesome Mountain Boys. The January luncheon features Mark & Dave's Famous Baked Spaghetti, Salad, Veggie, Garlic Bread, and Drinks, along with a feature-length film. Last January we watched Ma & Pa Kettle! Other luncheons feature special speakers and presentations.
Special Outing: The Our Shepherd Lutheran Older Wiser LutheranS (OWLS) will participate in a special outing that includes lunch at Luigi's Original Restaurant located near Selfridge Air National Guard Base and a visit to the Selfridge Military Air Museum, Thursday, May 17, 2012! Meet in the Our Shepherd Lutheran Church at 11:00a.m. Cost is only $4 admission to the museum, and bring money commensurate with your appetite at Luigi's!
